From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Description: pilot's approach was low on final. He then flew thru the glideslope. At this point he was above the glideslope and tried to capture it. The aircraft was over the threshold with the descent rate increasing. Upon landing the aircraft bounced two times approx 20' back in the air. On the third bounce the aircraft landed nose wheel first, turned left, and exited into the grass, flipping over into a drainiage ditch.

Causal and/or contributing factors: pilot failed to fly a stabilized approach to landing

Recommendations for corrective action: 44709 reexam
