From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot reported that as he landed on rny 01 he initially intended to make a full stop landing but decided to do a touch and go instead. Then he decided that instead of making a standard or normal 3 point take-off he would make a 2 point take-off instead. At about 50 KTS he brought the tail up when the aircraft made a sharp left turn a few feet off the runway when he retarded the throttle. The aircraft came to rest after impacting the ground about 50 yards from the runway.

THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST AFTER IMPACTING THE GROUND ABOUT 50 YARDS FROM THE RUNWAY.
