From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At around 9:30 a, am Saturday morning, the 28th of January, 2017, the aircraft was set up for a visual approach to runway 30 at kbih in clear VMC conditions. The aircraft was configured for a normal landing, including grear handle down and locked and flaps on approach setting at that thime . Right before landing I heard a crackling sound and saw the garmin screen flichker. After touchdown, the aircraft rolled normally on wheels for a few hundred feet on the rumway. Then I felt the nose dip down as if the nose gear had collapsed, and then immediately the main gears collapsed. Then the aircraft skidded off to the left and came to a stop off the runway. I shut the electrical offand both my passenger and I made an immediated emergency exit. I later took pictures of the exteior and interor, and while I could not get under the left side or under the nose of the aircraft, pctures of the right side show that the right gear had extended then collapsed as the gear and tire were still protruding out of the wing. The interior pictures shows that the gear handle was all the way down and locked.
