From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Phoenix, AZ (phx): SWA4182 / FFT756, N8303R / N202FR, B738 / A320, SWA4182 B738 (erroneously reported as SWA2182 by airport ops, later corrected) was taxing eastbound on twy c via the south route. Taxi instructions were given by the ln controller who had coordinated with the gnd controller for taxi approval from intersection B5. FFT756 A320 had called for push off of gate 25 for T3 north. The gn controller told FFT756 after swa passes that push was approved. FFT756 started pushing non standard tail west when the two aircraft hit wingtips on twy c between int C8 and int C7. I notified the city of the incident to investigate asap. Neither aircraft required any medical assistance. Both aircraft were stopped on the taxiway, at 0357 SWA4182 was towed to gate D6. At 0430Z FFT756 was towed to remote spot 4 POB: 174 / 163, injuries: none / none, damage: unknown / unknown. 2/17 0256Z
