From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated that during climb, immediately after takeoff from rwy 9L, the aircraft's right engine began to surge and make backfire noise causing the aircraft to yaw to the right. At approximately 50 to 100 feet, pilot noted runway remaining and a large field ahead. The pilot did not feel comfortable with the engine power situation and decided to retard the throttles and make a precautionary landing. The aircraft roll out occured in the grass field beyond the end of rwy 9L.
