From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft approached and landed on runway 23 at Cedar Key and was on rollout past the midpoint of runway when pilot states that he realized that a go-around would be necessary. Pilot applied full throttle and retracted the flaps and attempted the go-around. Pilot states that after lift off, aircraft did not climb as expected so he lowered the aircraft nose to gain speed. Pilot states that he then realized that the aircraft was not developing lift so he prepared for impact. The aircraft impacted the water just off the end of the runway and remained upright.
