From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot was attempting a taxi for departure in the above listed aircraft. His aircraft, a super cub, was on ski's at the time. Investigation revealed that frost on the left ski bottom caused the aircraft to depart the taxiway during the initial throttle advancement. This caused the aircraft to quickly veer to the left onto a decline and contact a Cessna 182 that was parked. The operator of the aircraft made statement referencing an inability to stop the aircraft with the throttle completely retarded.

As the FAA filed it
