From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Ameriflight number 1951 was on final into bfi when they only got two landing gear lights for the main, but no nose gear light. The pilot stated that he went through the emergency procedures and contducted a go around to try and get the gear to lock in the down position. All atempts failed to get the nose gear in the down and locked position. Upon inspection, a ruptured hydraulic line was found, and the emergincy bypass for the landing gear test failed.
