From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft was at 11,000 feet enroute from wichita, KS (ict) to athens, ga (ahn) when it experienced a low oil pressure indication. The pilot contacted memphis center informing them of his situation, then located and proceeded to Beech River Regional Airport (pve) approximately 6 miles away. While descending to land, he experienced a total engine loss as he passed through 5,000 feet and chose to not lower the landing gear as doing so would have prevented him from reaching the airfield due to the increased drag and loss of power. He subsequently landed in the grass strip between the runway and taxiway at approximately 350 feet from the approach end of runway. The aircraft sustained minor damage to the lower surface, and destruction of three lower antennae. Inspection of the engine revealed an approx. 3-inch hole in the top of the engine created by the failure of the #4 piston connecting rod that exited the engine.

As the FAA filed it
