From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Witnesses reported that pilot made several landing attempts, but was too fast and/or too high to land each time. On last attempt, pilot was also too fast , and touched down at least half way down a 2,500' runway. Aircraft floated until the last 1/4 of the runway, and landed in a nose low attitude, forcing the nose gear aft and shattering the nose wheel pant. Aircraft bounced off the nose once more before assuming a nose up attitude and skipping off a gravel road at end of runway. It hit a wooden fence and travelled approx 200 yards before impacting small trees and a parked tractor.
