From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft was landing on runway 35, winds were light and variable, he touched down in a wheel landing the aircraft started to go to the right and he corrected to the left, the aircraft swung around, peeling the rt main tire off the rim, the tire hit the rt aileron, and put a pretty good kink in it. The tailwheel spring and the tail post and lower rudder are all bent over. Minor scuffing of the rt wing tip and heavier scuffing on the rt elevator and stab. The pilot feels he may have had his feet up to high on the pedals and got some brake along with the rudder input.
