What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Approaching a short, back country Airstrip the pilot entered the flare with insufficient airspeed, increasing pitch attitude to arrest the descent. Descent was not arrested and the airplane hit the ground hard, bounced and drifted left. At the second bounce the left main gear touched down left of the runway edge, pulling the airplane further left where it struck two trees with the left wing.
