From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft N754SW, flight #1766 taxied to runway 19, and began the take-off roll departing from alb to mco. While doing so, PIC received a radio call from ATC that smoke was observed coming from the tail section of the aircraft by ground handling personnel. Specifically, the APU.

The pilot in command immediately rejected the take-off roll near the intersecting runways, then proceeded to taxi back to gate C-2, at approximately 0729, without ARFF support.

PIC conducted an external walk around inspection of the aircraft. Aircraft departed gate at 0751, for mco, without appropriate maintenance action.
