What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
On July 5, 2017, at 1655 eastern daylight time, a Cessna 182T, c-gbfy, impacted the runway surface when it porpoised during the takeoff phase of a stop-and-go landing on runway 14 at Jackson county airport-reynolds field (jxn), Jackson, Michigan.
The airplane sustained substantial damage.
The airplane was operated by brampton flight centre under 14 code of federal regulations as a training flight that was not operating on a flight plan. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The flight was originating at the time of the accident.
Post-accident examination of the airplane revealed that the pitch trim was in the full nose-down position, and there were no mechanical anomalies that would have precluded normal operation.
The pilot-rated passenger stated that the flaps were selected to 10 degrees during the takeoff roll.
