From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On July 7, at approximately 14:30 central time, a Cessna 170B, registered as N2811C to privacy data omitted landed on runway 18 at the Pine Bluff municipal airport, Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The pilot stated that the aircraft developed a tailwheel shimmy which was evident by tailwheel tire marks on the runway. The aircraft veered sharply to the right and the left main landing gear folded under the fuselage which caused the left wing and propeller to strike the runway. The aircraft came to a stop on the runway, facing 90 degrees to the right of the center line. The aircraft was substantially damaged. One pilot and two passengers onboard were uninjured. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed.
