From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot attempted to land at Cottonwood airport (S84)on runway 25 but performed a go-around due to shifting winds. The pilot switched to runway 7 and landed (all 3 wheels were on the ground). During roll out, at about 30 mph, the aircraft veered to the right but there was not enough left rudder effectivity to correct. The aircraft ground looped with the left wing and left elevator striking the ground bending both up to an approximate 45 degree angle. The aircraft also hit a runway light. There were no injuries.
