From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On August 01 2017, at approximately 1800, student pilot departed kcco for a solo flight to auburn, AL. Airport (kauo). At 1930, student pilot was returning from kauo and preparing to land at kcco on runway 14. Student pilot stated that she believes her approach was too high and was coming in to fast for the landing. Upon touchdown the aircraft began to start bouncing creating a porpoise landing effect. She decided to ride out the bounces instead of taking the aircraft back up and going around. She believed as a student pilot she wasn?t allowed to do a go around or touch and go. The aircraft bounced at least three times with the nose landing gear bending on the second bounce. On the second or third bounch the propeller struck the runway causing damage to the propeller. The aircraft came to a stop on the runway and was shutdown. The student pilot was assisted by another pilot who was close by to push the aircraft to the side of the runway. The aircraft was pushed to the taxi way and off the main runway within 5 minutes after engine shutdown. Within 10 minutes the aircraft was moved to the maintenance department for final parking.
