What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
On Sunday, 8/13/17, at approximately 1115 hours, the pilot began to taxi from a ramp parking spot at Chester county airport (mqs). The parking spot was on a slight incline so the pilot added power to ensure the aircraft was making forward progress. Once the aircraft was over the incline, the pilot attempted to turn towards the runway when he realized the aircraft brakes were not operating. The pilot maneuvered around an aircraft, and ran up a berm adjacent to the ramp, shearing off the nose landing gear and damaging the radome. The left hand wing leading edge impacted a maintenance/servicing stand, the right hand wing tip was damaged, and the aft fuselage impacted the ramp due to the angle of the aircraft nose up the berm. No injuries were reported by the pilot or passenger. Upon entering the aircraft cockpit, the brake system circuit breaker was found open (pulled), indicating the system was deactivated. No other anomolies were found.
