From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 08/28/2017 at approximately 15:20 local time, N503UP landed at San Jose Airport (sjc). In a statement from the pilot, the aircraft touched down very lightly and it came up again, sat it down for a normal landing, the airplane drifted a little right and the right side was lower than the left, and they assumed it was a flat tire. The pilot taxied clear of runway and stopped. The pilot walked over to inspect the flat tire and noticed the aft section of the gear trunnion was sticking up through the wing.
