From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Hot air balloon landed at the intersection of sycamore and cherry avenues. The pilot stated that after liftoff the winds were not as forecast and the balloon was headed in an unexpected direction. It was getting dark and there weren't many landing sights available in the distance so the pilot elected to land on a soccer field when he noticed the field had several people on it. He then elected to land at the intersection as that provided the least risk to the occupants on board.

As the FAA filed it

IT WAS GETTING DARK AND THERE WEREN'T MANY LANDING SIGHTS AVAILABLE IN THE DISTANCE SO THE PILOT ELECTED TO LAND ON A SOCCER FIELD WHEN HE NOTICED THE FIELD HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE ON IT. HE THEN ELECTED TO LAND AT THE INTERSECTION AS THAT PROVIDED THE LEAST RISK TO THE OCCUPANTS ON BOARD.
