From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During student training and thrid touch and go pilot was on the upwind 450-600 feet MSL when there was a noise and what was felt like a rupture. Something red flew over the windshield and the aircraft immediately lost thrust and viberation of the rotation of the propeller. Pilot was able to turn back to airport and land safely on runway 32. The propeller was located 200 yards from the airport. Crankshaft was broke approximately 2 inches from propeller mounting flange. Id of crankshaft showed slight corrosion.
