From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On October 23, 2017 a CFI and student were practicing a power on stall and when they went to level the aircraft after the maneuver they noticed that the right aileron was not responding to control inputs. They initially headed to ktnt but when they realized that winds were not aligned with the runway they decided to go to ktmb where the winds were 120 at 10 knots, they landed safely on runway 13 and taxied to the ramp. A post flight inspection revealed a aileron control cable had broken.
