From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 11/2/2017 privacy data omittedprivate pilot was receiving instruction from a CFI for tail wheel endorsement on his aircraft. While attemping to land on runway 22 at cjr, the aircraft touched down on the main wheels and bounced. The pilot at the controls applied forward pressure allowing the nose to drop and the prop to strike the ground. The pilot cleared the runway and taxied to the ramp. The aircraft was towed to the hanger for inspection. The damage appears to be limited to the prop. Airport authority notified the FSDO on 11/2/2017 at 1500 EDT, and an inspector was sent to the scene.
