From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While approaching mckinnney airport, pilot reported a loss of the alternator. Pilot was able to notify ATC. Pilot then experienced a complete electical failure and proceeded to lower the landing gear manually, with the hand pump. Pilot reported the gear felt like it locked securely in place, but did not have an gear intrumention indication, due to no electricity. Pilot was able to verify that the hydraulic pressure gauage was positive. On touch down the plane began its landing roll normally, as the landing roll progressed, the right main landing gear began to retract, thus causing skin damage to bottom of right wingtip. Aircraft veered off runway, into grass. No injuries nor any other property damage.
