What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
While making an approach to land on runway 15 at the Salmon Bar air strip, the airman indicated the aircraft was floating more than expected and touchdown was further down the runway than planned. After touchdown the airman executed a go-around. At the end of the runway the airman made a left turn to avoid terrain and struck a tree with the left wing. This caused complete loss of control and the aircraft was destroyed after impacting the ground.
