What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The pilot was returning to home base at W81. On approach to runway 33 the pilot corrected for a crosswind coming from the west. On touchdown he did not correct for winds sufficiently and the aircraft drifted off the edge of the runway (east side of runway). He over corrected to get back onto the runway and lost control of the aircraft. He exited the runway into the wind and struck a ditch.
