From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot landed the aircraft on runway 36 with the landing gear retracted. The pilot stated that his normal landing routine was disrupted by a formation flight in the pattern and he delayed extension of the landing gear until he was on final approach. He further stated that he observed the mechanical gear indicator which indicated that the landing gear was extended. The pilot also stated that the aircraft required full flaps to slow the aircraft sufficiently for landing. He stated that he had no other indication of anything abnormal until the aircraft struck the ground with the gear retracted.
