From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft touched down on runway 18 approximately 500 ft past the threshold. The pilot reported that the prevailing winds were from the south-southwest at 6-7 knots, and that he did not feel the need to use aileron or rudder correction during the approach, landing, or rollout. Several seconds after touchdown, the pilot reported feeling a strong wind gust from the right. The right wing lifted up, and the aircraft veered to the left and entered the grass off the left side of the runway. The propeller struck the ground, resulting in damage to the propeller blades. The pilot subsequently regained control of the aircraft and returned to the paved surface.
