From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While waiting for takeoff clearance, holding short of rwy 28R at montgomery field (myf), PIC of N786SA taxied to the hold line of runway 28R, remaining on the taxiway. A flight of three biplanes were behind him in the run-up area. When the flight of three biplanes were cleared for takeoff, the second biplane, N5762B, struck the Cessna?s right wingtip and aileron with the left wing of the biplane. The aileron of N786SA was substantially damaged.
