From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was conducting a solo cross country flight and upon landing at krdm, winds were reported as variable at five knots. Just prior to touchdown on runway 5, the aircraft began to drift to the left. Two blue taxiway lights 84 feet left of the runway centerline were struck by the aircraft. One by the left horizontal stabilizer and one by the left main tire. The pilot initiated a go-around and made right traffic to runway 5 for a full stop landing. The aircraft was taxied to parking. The damage to the taxiway lights was discovered by airport manangement and the damage to the aircraft was discovered by a subsequent student pilot.
