From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was completing his solo cross-country flight (preparation for his instrument rating) from CO15 (Kelly Air Park, CO)/kpnc (ponca city regional airport, OK)/CO15 and during landing roll out on the asphalt runway 35 (3800 feet long & 36 feet wide) he temporarily lost directional control of the aircraft. His right main gear encountered the grass shoulder of the paved runway and the intersecting sod runway (9/27) (protrudes approximately 2 feet above the grass shoulder) which launched the airplane into the air and upon touchdown again the pilot caught the right wingtip and collasped the nose gear during the remainder of the landing rollout. No structural damage to the aircraft.
