From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Due enroute weather on 06/16/2018 the pilot decided to make a fuel stop in Page AZ. According to the pilot the wind was calm and variable 3 or 4 knots. He setup to land runway 15 and follow the glideslope right to the thousand foot marks. At touchdown the plane immediately started veering to the right, the pilot used differental braking and left rudder and the aircraft continued to skid to the right off of the runway. The aircraft ran into a taxi or runway marker sign and the nose gear collapsed the aircraft passed over the taxiway and skidded quickly to a stop off of the right side of the runway.

Tire markings on the runway appear to validate and show the nose gear was cocked to the right upon touchdown. Tire markings also show the use of differential braking as noted in the pilots statment. The gear colapse was a result of hitting a runway sign but the collaspe of the gear resulted in the substantial damage to the aircraft.

This report will be amended once the reason for the nose issues are revealed.
