From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

07/19/2018 At about 2:45PM the pilot was landing his aircraft on his private strip which is 1300 ft long and 50FT wide. He was landing on 27 and the wind was 3 to 7 knots. The airplane floated down the runway and was not settling on the grass. He initiated a go around and the aircraft did not clear the trees at the east end of the runway. He hit the trees and after going through them, landed hard. The airplane was damaged but he was not injuried. He secured the aircraft by turnng off the fuel valves, the key and master. He then walked to his house and called the NTSB.
