From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On July 27, 2018, at approximately 1850 EST, a Robinson R44, N479AT, registered and operated by ?airmen testing and training inc dba Palm Beach helicopters? A 14 CFR 141 flight school. Encountered an uncontrolled dynamic rollover onto its right side on taxi way bravo, resulting in a total loss of the aircraft and 1 occupant with a minor injury. During the interviews it was discovered that the student?s over correction of the cyclic input to the right, in order to try and correct a left drift of centerline during hover, subsequently caused the right rear foot of the skid to contact the ground, resulting in the dynamic rollover. Instructor intervention was too late once the helicopter started to roll.
