From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Post accident investigation revealed that student pilot raymond gunn operated powered parachute aircraft 2630F on a public highway as means of transportation from his home of residence to the Humboldt airport. As the pilot departed the Humboldt airport parking lot onto the public highway to return to his home of residence, he mismanaged the fuel controls and steered the aircraft across hwy 45E into the grassy area that runs parallel. The pilot reported minor injuries. Ppc aircraft N2630F received minor damage to the airframe and propellers. Event classified as an incident.
