From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On August 14, 2018. A part 61 training flight in a Piper PA-32 lance, aborted a take-off on rwy 10R at hwo airport after experiencing a loss of power on climbout. Upon relading, the aircraft traveled past the end of the runway striking it's stabilator on an end of runway identifier light damaging the r/h leading edge. An inspection post incident revealed water in the fuel system.

It is this inspector's opinion that the pilots had a compliant attitude. I have determined that a counseling session would be an effective action for these pilots. Counseling was held on August 29, 2018 at the hwo airport. Counseling has been recorded in a triggered ptrs 201817014 with a 1750 activity number. I consider this issue closed.
