From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After landing on the lake and taxiing up to a beach, the right float hit a rock which opened up a small hole approximately 1" long and 1/4" inch wide in the forward section of the float.

The pilot decided to taxi the aircraft to another section of beach to facilitate a closer inspection of the hole in the float. While taxiing, the right float apparently started to take on water causing the nose of aircraft to dip down. The aircraft did flip over upside down and sink in about 8 foot of water

The aircraft has now been substantially damaged by high winds and waves.
