From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On September 1, 2018, at approximately 1445 CST, a Cessna 170B, N2303D, lost control after landing on runway 19R at Richard Lloyd Jones Jr Airport Tulsa, OK. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time. Upon touch down, the pilot reported a crosswind lifted the aircraft left wing causing the aircraft to skid off the runway into the grass. When the aircraft right tire entered the grass, the right wing struck the grass which caused the aircraft to flip over coming to rest on its top. As a result, minor damage was sustained to various parts of the aircraft structure to include the propeller but the left wing did sustain substantial damage. The pilot and one passenger were on board at the time and neither sustained any injuries.
