From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While making a right base entry to runway 23 with a crosswind at Myrtle beach Grand Strand Airport, the aircraft touched down right of the center-line. The aircraft continued to taxi while correcting to center. Approximately 3-4 seconds after touchdown, the aircraft encountered a left quartering tailwind. The pilot deflected ailerons to the right to counter and applied light pressure on the nose-gear to the right. The aircraft began to veer left toward the grass and the pilot applied hard braking. The plane lifted from the left, scrubbed the right wing on the runway. As the aircraft was entering the grass, the pilot steered left and the nose gear broke/collapsed upon dropping off the runway
