From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At around 1700 local time, N703TK, flying eastbound from kipl to ksee aircraft started descend trough 6000 ft MSL. Aircraft experienced a steady sudden frequency vibration from the engine. The engine RPM dropped from 2500 to 2300. Pilot unable to clear the problem started emergency procedures per flight manual. Aircraft landed without incident in a long gravel road.

A mechanic examined the engine and found #3 loss compression due to exhaust valve failure. A new cylinder was installed and aircraft successfully departed for ksee without incident.
