From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot taxied in both directions on the runway with no reason stated prior to making the takeoff roll. The pilot attempted to depart from K07 airport, runway 27. The pilot stated: on liftoff, a gust of wind caused the pilot to loose control of the aircraft. The aircraft veered approximately 75 feet south of the runway and struck a tree line coming to rest on the trees. The aircraft sustained substantial damage. Damage was noted to both wings, fuselage, tail section, engine cowl, prop, and spinner. The wing spars appear to be to be bent/buckled.
