From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft departed Henry County Airport (khmp) for a landing zone

Survey flight for an upcoming airshow at atlanta motor speedway. The survey flight was to evaluate the viability of landing the aircraft on the infield section of the track to facilitate the airshow performance. Several passes were made to evaluate the obstacle height and location in the immediate area on the track property. During an approach to the landing area, the aircraft impacted a power line. The pilot immediately vacated the track area and after a quick controllability check returned to the airport. A normal landing was made at Henry County Airport. The aircraft received damage to the left lower wing leading edge, the left upper wing leading edge, and the trailing edge of both left ailerons. No injuries occurred to the pilot.
