From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot was conducting test flights on an unpaved runway. The pilot touched down on mains and then nose gear. The aircraft started to veer nose right and slide sideways. The aircraft then veered nose left and slid sideways. The aircraft then again veered nose right at a relatively slow speed, slid sideways at which time the nose gear collapsed. After the pilot turned off the battery master, selected fuel cutoff/feather on the condition lever, and pulled the fuel shutoff ?t? Handle, he and the flight test engineer exited the aircraft.

As the FAA filed it
