From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot took off but remained in the traffic pattern at sif. Pilot stated that he landed side-loaded due to wind (gear were not straight). Pilot stated that when he touched down, he used the brake. This aircraft does not have differential braking because it does not have toe brakes. The pilot used the parking brake as his only method of braking, which deployed the left and right brakes simultaneously. He stated that the left brake locked up and he veered off the side of the runway to the left. The aircraft ended up off the side of the runway in a ditch. The nose gear sheared off but the firewall was not damaged. The pilot sustained a bloody nose (minor injuries). Nobody else on board.

As the FAA filed it
