From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The crew struck a FOD detector located at the intersection of the runway and high speed taxiway when exiting the runway. The detector was found on the ramp, the aircraft was written up and the crew was removed from service until we were able to determine what happened and interview the crew. The crew said they were trying to exit the runway as quickly as possible as the tower had advised them there was traffic behind them close in on final, evidently the captain cut the corner to closely. Initially they weren?t sure what had happened as the aircraft drug the detector onto the ramp and the crew thought they hit something on the ramp, not the runway.

As the FAA filed it
