From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The flight left freeport Bahamas and was 35 minutes into the flight in route to richmond VA at FL410. The co-captain noticed a small white flash that occurred at the bottom of the side window, left hand corner (airplanes right side). At that point both crew members agreed that didn?t look right. At 5:20PM a large bang occurred and the window shattered, but stayed in tact. An emergency descent was initiated and the crew determined that Wilmington NC was the closet and safest airport to land at. The crew did the ILS approach for runway 24 and landed safety. No emergency assistance was needed.
