From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

A pilot was returning to Chino Airport (kcno) from a local flight in his Bellanca 7ECA aircraft when he was cleared to land on runway 26R. Immediately upon touchdown, the airman noticed a right quartering tailwind which caused the nose of the aircraft to shift to the right. The pilot responded by applying left rudder and left brake which in turn caused the aircraft to shift in the opposite direction. The right main gear collapsed, followed by a propeller strike, which resulted in a ground loop of the aircraft.
