From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Airman was carrying 4 passengers on a flight from tpa to F45. While enroute he had an issue with his left engine and subsequently shut the engine down (as per recording)... Shorlty there after he lost altitude rapidly and was heading to a nearby airport. The airman overflew the airport and attempted to enter the downwind. Upon examination of the crash site, the aircraft had it's wheels down and full flaps as well. It is this inspectors opinion that the airman VMC stalled the airplane into the water.
