From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated that a main landing gear unsafe condition was indicated after extending the leading gear on approach. Emergency landing gear extension procedures were accomplished but were unsuccessful in extending the main landing gear. The aircraft landed with the main landing gear retracted and the nose landing gear extended. There were no injuries and the aircraft received minor damage. Maintenance personnel, who inspected the aircraft after the incident, stated that the control rod connecting the hydraulic actuator to the main landing gear extension mechanism was disconnected due to an apparent failure of the attaching hardware.
