From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N814ST, a Hawker 800A aircraft reported a UAS 7 miles west of crg at approximately 4,500 feet to ATC. No evasive action was taken and law enforcement was not notified.

The N814ST pilot stated they passed the UAS at a distance of approximately 300 to 400 feet, and that the UAS was fairly large, he thought about 3 to 4 feet wide. PIC stated the UAS was red in color. The pilot stated the drone identification number could not be determined due to the high closure speed.

The PIC of the drone could not be determined.
